Greek Dakos


    An idea for a quick snack that locks all the freshness of red onions, cherry tomatoes and cucumber within a crunch. Inspired by the traditional food of the Crete Island. An easy branch or snack if you prefer to start your day!

    • 3-4 Crispbakes
    • 4-5 Green olives, pitted and halved
    • 1/2 Red Onion, finely chopped
    • 1/4 Cucumber, finely chopped
    • 1/4 Feta Cheese, cut in cubes
    • 4-5 Cherry Tomatoes, halved
    • 3-4 tsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • Salt & Pepper
    • 2 tsp of Capers
    • 1/2 tsp of Oregano


    1. Place the green olives, the red onion, the cucumber, the feta cheese, the cherry tomatoes, the capers, the oregano in a deep bowl and season well. Stir the ingredients well together.
    2. Get a crispbake and top it up with the mixture and do the same for all the crispbakes. Pour 1 tsp of extra virgin olive oil for each crispbake.


    Alternative options for the Crispbakes that i could recommend are the crunchy round barley rusks and the crusty country bread slices.
