Ham and cheese pasta

    Pasta in creamy cheese sauce with ham. My children love this dish.

    Serves: 4 

    • 400g pasta
    • 1 knob butter
    • 1 onion, minced
    • 2 garlic cloves, minced
    • 200g cooked ham, diced
    • 1 teaspoon chicken gravy granules
    • 200ml single cream
    • 100g grated cheese
    • pepper

    1. Melt butter in a large frying pan and fry onion till translucent. Add garlic and fry till fragrant, about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Add ham and a bit more butter.
    2. Bring a large pot of water to the boil and cook pasta till al dente following packet instructions.
    3. Drain the pasta and reserve 200ml of the cooking liquid. Add to frying pan with the cream and the gravy granules. Bring to the boil and add pasta. Let simmer till well reheated.
    4. Sprinkle with cheese and mix well till cheese is melted. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
