About this recipe:This is a fiery but quick and easy to make pasta dish. For a milder flavour, simply leave out the chillies.
350g rotini or fusilli pasta
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried Italian herb seasoning
1 onion, diced
2 red chillies, seeded and chopped
1 (400g) tin diced tomatoes
3 drops hot pepper sauce
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Cook pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente; drain.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Saute garlic with basil and Italian seasoning for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in onion and chillies; cook until onion is tender. Stir in tomatoes and hot sauce; simmer for 5 minutes, or until heated through. Toss with the cooked pasta, and season with salt and pepper.
