    About this recipe: I make it for my diabetic husband all the time. Serve these with your favourite fish or vegetable dish.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 125g wholemeal flour
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 60ml water

    Method
    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:2min  ›  Ready in:12min 

    1. Sift together flour and salt in a bowl. Stir in olive oil and water, and then knead until firm and elastic. Divide into four balls, and roll as flat as possible with a rolling pin.
    2. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the chapati on both sides until golden brown, about 1 minute per side. If desired, sprinkle with additional olive oil before serving.

    Yup that works. Had to be careful getting the heat just right but results as good as any indian restaurant. Also added 2 teaspoons of cummin seeds and a pinch of tumeric to the dough - really added to my curry. Thank you Lovely - 21 Nov 2011

    First time we have tried this and it works great. Was looking for a quick recipe for a bread to go with a curry and this is done in minutes, would also go well with mint dip etc. A really simple and tasty bread. - 21 Jun 2014
