    About this recipe: For a sophisticated and light pud, serve these peaches soaked in white wine over ice cream, meringues, Greek yoghurt or a slice of Madeira cake with creme fraiche.

    Serves: 3 

    • 5 peaches - peeled, stoned and sliced
    • 140g icing sugar
    • 450ml dry white wine

    1. Place the peaches in a bowl. In a separate bowl, stir together the sugar and wine until the sugar is thoroughly dissolved. Pour over the peaches, cover and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour, or up to 10 hours before serving.
