Halfway between a milkshake and a dessert, this Mexican specialty consists of simple syrup cooked with condensed milk and mixed with coconut or walnuts, then served over crushed ice.

Ingredients
Serves: 6
500ml water
100g caster sugar
2 (400g) tins sweetened condensed milk
100g dessicated coconut or chopped walnut
crushed ice
Method Prep:5min › Cook:15min › Ready in:20min
In a saucepan bring water and sugar to the boil till the sugar is fully dissolved. Stir in condensed milk and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in coconut. Let cool.
Fill glasses with crushed ice and pour mixture on top.
