1 bunch of green asparagus, trimmed
1 tablespoon curry powder
250ml semi-skimmed milk
1/2 stock cube, crumbled

Boil asparagus in a pan with plenty of water for about 10 minutes, or until just cooked but still have a bite; drain and keep warm.
Melt butter in a pan over low heat; stir in flour and curry powder until combined. Pour in the milk, a little at a time, stirring continuously, until you get a smooth sauce. Crumble the stock cube into the sauce and stir to combine; simmer for 1 or 2 more minutes, or until sauce has thickened.
