Orange givrée (French frozen orange)

    The frozen oranges in this dessert can be filled with any flavour if ice cream or sorbet, I like a combination of orange sorbet and chocolate ice cream.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 2 

    • 2 oranges
    • 4 scoops orange sorbet
    • 2 scoops chocolate ice cream

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Extra time:30min freezing  ›  Ready in:45min 

    1. Cut the top off an orange and scoop out the inside with a small spoon, preferably a grapefruit spoon.
    2. Take the sorbet and chocolate ice cream out of the fridge and let them soften for 5 minutes. Place a scoop of sorbet in each orange, top with chocolate and finish with a scoop of sorbet.
    3. Place the top back onto the orange and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
