These cookies are great for baking with kids because they are so easy.

250g plain flour
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
175g butter, at room temperature
170g peanut butter
150g caster sugar
175g cane sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a bowl mix flour, bicarb of soda, baking powder and salt.
In another bowl beat butter, peanut butter, sugar and and cane sugar till light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat till well combined. Gradually add flour mixture till well combined.
Wrap mixture in cling film or place in an airtight container and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours.
Preheat oven to 190 C / Gas 5.
Divide mixture into 24 equal pieces and shape each pieces into a ball. Place on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper, leaving ample distance between them. Flatten biscuits with the tines of a fork.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool on baking before transferring to wire rack to cool completely.
