These are sweet puris (Indian flatbreads) made with wheat flour, mashed sweet potatoes and jaggery.

125g wheat flour
200g boiled mashed sweet potato
100g jaggery
½ teaspoon ground cardamom
500 to 750ml ghee for deep frying

In a bowl mix flour, sweet potatoes, jaggery and cardamom till smooth.
Shape into small balls, then flatten to round puris.
Heat ghee in a heavy saucepan or a deep fryer and fry the puris till golden brown.
