Peanut Butter and Apple Sandwich

    A great way to get your kids to their five a day.

    Serves: 1 

    • 2 slices wholemeal bread
    • 1 tablespoon peanut butter, or to taste
    • 1 apple - peeled, cored and grated

    1. Spread a thin layer of peanut butter onto one side of each slice of bread. Place grated apple onto one slice, and place the other peanut buttered slice of bread on top. Serve immediately.

    Yum! I used wholegrain bread and grilled the sandwich in a sandwich grill. The apple and pb combo tastes great  -  04 Jun 2010


    Wanted to make another suggestion...try this combination on a tortilla and eat as a wrap. You could also try, for a change, using grated celery or carrot in place of the apple  -  07 Aug 2008
