I had some cinnamon sugar left in a jar and I decided to add it to my waffle batter before cooking them -they tasted amazing!

Ingredients
Serves: 6
100g butter, melted and cooled
100g caster sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
250g self raising flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
pinch of salt
100ml lukewarm milk
60g cinnamon sugar, or to taste
cinnamon, for dusting

Combine self raising flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt together in a bowl.
Mix softened butter, caster sugar and vanilla extract with an electric mixer until creamy; add eggs, one at a time, beating continuously for about 3 minutes.
Add milk and gradually beat in flour mixture until batter is smooth but quite thick; fold in cinnamon sugar, to taste.
Preheat a waffle iron; cook each waffle for about 4 minutes or according to manufacturer's instructions.
