To die for chocolate topped rice crispy bars
These delicious bars don't require any cooking. They contain melted mars bars, rice krispies and butter and are topped with chocolate! So easy for kids to make! 100 percent guarantee you'll love them!

- 3 Mars Bars
- 100g butter
- 275g rice crispies cereal
- TOPPING
- 200g milk chocolate, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter

- Grease a 19cm x 29cm shallow baking tin.
- Combine mars bars and butter in large saucepan stir constantly over low heat without boiling until mixture is smooth; stir in Rice Krispies.
- Press mixture evenly into prepared tin, spread with topping. Refrigerate until set before cutting.
- To make the topping: Melt chocolate and butter in pan in a double boiler over hot water; stir until smooth.

Altered ingredient amounts. added one tablespoon of golden syrup. it makes them even more chewy and i left off the chocolate on top. you get to really enjoy the buttery mars taste - 14 Jun 2009
I've always loved these bars and just had to try this recipe. I included a tbls of golden syrup and sprinkled the top with the choc dust topping for a cuppacino instead of the chocolate. Lovely! Tried coco pops next time but they masked the flavour of the Mars Bars too much. Both batches didn't last long! - 14 Feb 2012
