About this recipe: Puréed prunes, orange juice and port make an elegant sauce for ice cream when you're looking for a quick and easy dessert.

Serves: 4 

  • 100g ready-to-eat pitted prunes
  • 200ml orange juice
  • 6 tbsp port

  1. In a blender, purée 100g ready-to-eat pitted prunes with 200ml orange juice and 6 tbsp port until smooth. Serve cold, or warm the sauce briefly in a small pan or in a suitable jug in the microwave. Serve the sauce with vanilla, coffee or chocolate ice cream.
