    About this recipe: Serve these simple toasts with soup for a change instead of plain crusty bread or breadsticks. They are excellent served with Mediterranean soups such as Speedy Two-fish Hotpot, Zippy Minestrone or Carrot, Orange and Feta Soup (recipes on this website).

    • 8 diagonally cut slices of French baguette
    • 3 tbsp black olive tapenade

    1. Lightly toast 8 diagonally cut slices of French baguette until golden, then spread with 3 tbsp black olive tapenade from a jar.
