    About this recipe: This is a great easy chicken recipe which you can make as spicy as you like. This is perfect served on a bed of rice.

    Serves: 4 

    • 500 grams of diced chicken
    • 1 chopped onion
    • 2 cloves of garlic (minced or pressed)
    • 250 grams mushrooms
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 1 or 2 teaspoons chili powder
    • 1 cube of chicken stock
    • 100 ml water
    • 1 can of chopped tomatos

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. In the olive oil, brown the diced chicken
    2. When the chicken is almost done, add the chopped onions and minced garlic and cook for 1 or 2 minutes
    3. Add chili powder to taste to coat the chicken
    4. Disolve chicken stock cube in hot water
    5. Add mushrooms, tomatos, and chicken stock
    6. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring once or twice
    7. Serve with rice

    I thought this was way to spicy and I only used 1 teaspoon of chilli powder. I can usually eat spicy food as well but had to make yoghurt sauce to eat this!  -  27 Aug 2015


    I tried this last night and it was very tasty. Think I might add bit of sugar to tone down the tomato next time, though.  -  01 Jul 2009
