About this recipe:
This is my own recipe which originated from various other dishes. I call it Bavarian but there is no tradition for this. I just think it would be typical Bavarian
750g frozen french beans (Fresh can be used but frozen are very good)
8 slices smoked streaky bacon, chopped in 1cm pieces
- Cook frozen beans as directed (or fresh as per guidelines).
- Fry chopped bacon until crispy.
- Strain beans when cooked and add the bacon and the fat remaining in the pan. Return to low heat for 4 or 5 minutes. Serve. Excellent with Weiner (Or other) Schnitzels.
