Bavarian Beans

    This is my own recipe which originated from various other dishes. I call it Bavarian but there is no tradition for this. I just think it would be typical Bavarian

    Serves: 4 

    • 750g frozen french beans (Fresh can be used but frozen are very good)
    • 8 slices smoked streaky bacon, chopped in 1cm pieces

    Prep:20min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Cook frozen beans as directed (or fresh as per guidelines).
    2. Fry chopped bacon until crispy.
    3. Strain beans when cooked and add the bacon and the fat remaining in the pan. Return to low heat for 4 or 5 minutes. Serve. Excellent with Weiner (Or other) Schnitzels.
