These all-butter shortbread biscuits are simple yet luxurious. Use a biscuit cutter or a biscuit press to make festive shapes for Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter or any occasion!

Ingredients

500g butter, softened
200g caster sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
500g plain flour

Preparation method

1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas mark 4.
 
2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Stir in vanilla; add flour and mix well.
 
3. Put through biscuit press and form biscuits onto baking trays. Alternatively, roll out to 1cm thickness and cut out desired shaped with biscuit cutters. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

    the serving amount is wrong we made 25 with the right mixture i think that u should change it to 12+ becuase it can make more than exactly 12 many thanks courtney and kelsie

  • Yummy But Just To Say You Will Need To Add Alot More Flour Before Rolling Out And It Also Makes Alot More Than Probably Intended. I Stuck To The Recipe, Only Adding More Flour So I Could Roll It Out, But I Managed To Make 78 Quite Small Biscuits.
