Always a favourite, here's a simple and delicious mashed potato recipe.
6 floury potatoes, peeled and quartered
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Cover and bring to the boil; boil until very tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Drain water from the cooked potatoes and and return to pot. Add milk, butter and salt; mash until light and fluffy.
if you are doing a pork or lamb dish to accompany the mash try adding a tsp of freshly chopped rosemary at the mashing stage
