    About this recipe: Porridge is taken to new heights with added fruit and whole grains.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 1 

    • 250ml water
    • 1/2 small apple, chopped
    • 1/2 banana, halved and sliced
    • 2 tablespoons sultanas
    • pinch salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 50g porridge oats
    • 1 tablespoon oat bran
    • honey to serve (optional)

    Method
    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:10min 

    1. In a saucepan, combine all ingredients; bring to the boil. Cook for 5 minutes, or until oats are tender, stirring occasionally. Drizzle with honey to serve if desired.

    Made it more kid friendly. this way is delicous, what you do is you throw in 50g porridge oats, 250ml water, a banana chopped, apple chopped, sultanas, orange and stir for five minutes. then you put the poridge in a bowl and add some jam and stir that in and finaly finish of with a pinch of sugar. - 29 Sep 2009
