Christmas chocolate tiffin

This is a cake that my gran use to make for Christmas. Sadly she is no longer with us, but we now make it ourselves; even my brother makes this at Christmas. It is not very healthy but it's Christmas anyway.

Ingredients

2 eggs
225g (8 oz) margarine
2 level desertspoons of sugar
110g (4 oz) plain chocolate
110g (4 oz) milk chocolate
225g (8 oz) shortbread biscuits, broken into small pieces
1 tablespoon chopped glace cherries (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped nuts (optional)
2 drop vanilla extract (optional)

Preparation method

1. Beat eggs in a mixing bowl. Add melted margarine and sugar and mix to combine.
2. Melt chocolate in saucepan and stir to prevent burning. Once melted, add little at a time to the eggs, beating well. When the chocolate has been combined, fold in the biscuits, cherries, nuts and vanilla.
3. Line a large cake tin with greaseproof paper and pour the cake mixture in. Leave to cool for 24 hours. Slice into squares and store in fridge.
