About this recipe:
A delicious dessert. This is so easy to make you can put your feet up and relax with a nice cup of tea/coffee.
1 pack of digestive biscuits
1 oz of margarine or (preferably) butter
2 tins of condensed milk

2 hr 20 min
Put the biscuits in the sandwich bag then put bag on chopping board and gently roll and tap until biscuits are broken into small crumbs.
Measure 1oz of butter and place in saucepan and gently heat until melted.
Place biscuits in saucepan and mix evenly with wooden spatula until all butter is mixed evenly.
Place mixture into a 10 inch sandwich cake tin pressing down firmly. Place into fridge for 30 minutes.
Cut limes in halve then squeeze out the juice into a bowl. Stir in 2 tins of condensed milk; mix until firm.
Spoon lime mixture on top of biscuit base. Chill approximately for 2 hours to set.
just 2 add a bit of colour add a tiny drop of green food colouring and add a sprig of mint on the top for presentation

Made this for dessert after a 'Mexican themed' dinner party. Everyone loved it, very simple recipe with a real zing! Next time will add a little colour, I added some lime zest on top to give it some colour this time.

My daughter loved it and sent some to my Mum who complained there wasnt enough.
I added the zest of my limes to the mix gave it a splash of colour
