    This is a great way to cool down. Adjust the honey to your personal taste.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 250ml pineapple juice
    • 3 bananas, sliced
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 2 scoops ice

    Method

    1. In a blender, combine pineapple juice, bananas, honey and ice. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.

    Had to adjust quantities to serve 1 - used 60ml pineapple juice, sml banana and 1 tsp agave nectar as I didn't have honey in stock. Smoothie was nice and I will have it again numerous times no doubt but it didn't have that 'extra special' zing to it that would make it fantastic. Think next time I will use a little more juice and a large banana as I like my smoothies large . I will probably omit the additional sweetener (fruit is sweet enough for me)  -  16 Sep 2011

    I used doubled this and used frozen bananas which eliminated the need for ice. Doubling this recipe made just enough for my two kids and I. We thought this was very tasty--the combination of pineapple and banana is yummy!  -  23 Feb 2011  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

    This recipe is a good one! The first time I made it I added some orange juice to it for a little more of an orange flavor. I made it again and tried some frozen mixed berries along with the banana, and that was excellent too!
