Super Simple Salmon

    This is a very simple but delicious way to prepare fresh salmon using just a few ingredients from your cupboard.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
    • 1 tablespoon dried basil
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 4 salmon fillets
    • 30g butter
    • 4 lemon wedges

    1. Stir together the garlic powder, basil and salt in a small bowl; rub in equal amounts onto the salmon fillets.
    2. Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat; cook the salmon in the butter until browned and flaky, about 5 minutes per side. Serve each piece of salmon with a lemon wedge.

    this recipe is so "simple" but yummy.Didn't have garlic powder so used minced garlic.Used olive oil for frying with a small amount of butter.Served with plain boiled potatoes,leeks and peas microwaved.  -  06 Mar 2012

    This was a very tasty way to prepare Salmon! I added just a couple things when fixing mine: I used sea salt instead of regular salt, and used a little less than the recipe called for, and also added a chopped up clove of garlic to the butter in the saucepan. I allowed the butter and garlic to simmer a few minutes before added the filets.
