This recipe is so versatile you can substitute the cohoclate for anything you want really- I tried mine with a mixture of white, milk 'n' caramel and plain milk- bits left over from Easter! Great for a snack or lunchboxes- enjoy. There's no need to buy chocolate chips- just chop chocolate into suitable sized chunks.

Used different ingredients. I used M&Ms instead of chocolate chunks. They tasted delicious but the candies had a tendency to stick, so use at your own risk. I also used 3/4 cup of sugar and a 1/4 cup of maple syrup, because I forgot to buy brown sugar, and that gave it some of that brown sugar flavour I prefer. - 02 Dec 2010
This recipe was lovely, just what choc cookies should be! but since im a beginner, i didnt know that they expand when in the oven, so i came out with one big cookie. Also, do i put them on grease proof before the tray or straight onto the greased tray? I would be greatful for pointers - 18 Sep 2010
Loved this nice, basic recipe! It also leaves room for personal tweaking. - 02 Dec 2010
