About this recipe:
Perfect for Guy Fawkes night, this simple recipe is fun to make. Serve with cream or ice cream if you like!
1 Bramley, Cox’s Orange Pippin or Royal Gala apple, cored
1 tablespoon soft dark brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Fill the core of the apple with the brown sugar and cinnamon. Wrap the apple in a large piece of foil, twisting the extra foil into a tail for a handle.
- Place the apple in the coals of a fire or barbecue and let cook 5 to 10 minutes, until softened. Remove and unwrap, being careful of the hot sugar.

Don't forget to cut the apple's skin round their equators or they will burst.
