Mix the first five ingredients together in a clean bowl. Add more harissa if you like your meat spicy. Put the belly pork strips into the sauce and mix well. Cover and leave in a cool place for a minimum of two hours to allow the flavours to develop.
Cook the strips on a hot barbecue for approximately seven minutes per side, checking the meat is thoroughly cooked before serving. Brush any left-over marinade over the pork as it cooks.
