About this recipe:Not just for Christmas! This is a great recipe that I was shown how to make, it uses the "All trimmings" from a Christmas dinner to make a great roulade, either serve it into portions for a main course on its own or cut it into smaller portions to have at the side with your turkey! It is basically layered bacon, suasage meat and stuffing rolled into a log and baked for 40 mins really simple. the flavours of the bacon and sausage infuse with the stuffing, really yummy!
Very easy to make. Rolled up surprisingly easily and looked fab at that point - a really substantial looking dish. The bacon rashers stuck together without a problem. My only issue was that it was difficult to slice as tended to collapse, and therefore I didn't really like to put it on the table as it didn't look its best. It was absolutely delicious though and so easy. I will definitely be making it again, and hopefully next time it may look better. I did home-made sage & onion stuffing - so easy, try it if you haven't already done so - maybe I put too much in 'cos it was so nice! - 28 May 2016
