About this recipe: It's a great take on the famous Mango Lassi that you tend to see at various Indian restaurants because it takes the flavour to a higher and much more complex level.

Serves: 3 

  • 1 large mango - peeled, stone removed and diced
  • 3 tablespoons brown soft sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground star anise
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground cardamom
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 400g natural yoghurt
  • 3 sprigs fresh mint for garnish

  1. Blend the mango, brown sugar, chopped mint, star anise, cardamom, lime juice and yoghurt in a blender on high speed until smooth. Pour into glasses and garnish with fresh mint sprigs to serve.
