For ages I have been looking for a recipe for homemade icecream that does not require an icecream maker - this one is just fabulous! SO EASY. I used two cartons of double cream (Elmlea size) and 2/3 tin of condensed milk. That is that basic icecream and I have experimented with different flavours. Crushed up crunchie is amazing, coffee and brandy also, mint choc chip, strawberry. Just add anything! It freezes well with NO CRYSTALS! It defrosts nicely and is easy to scoop. It looks very professional and is an absolute winner! Be careful when adding the condensed milk as it can be very sweet.
