Fry the garlic in the oil for a minute or two, then add the sausages (whole) and cook for a few minutes until they are golden. Cut the sausages into smaller pieces, and continue to cook for a further few minutes.
Turn the heat down to low, and add the tomatoes, beans, pepper, passata, and mushrooms. Stir, and simmer for a while before adding BBQ sauce, chili sauce, and wine.
Add whatever other spices and sauces you like. I add a little chilli powder, cumin, or turmeric. Add salt and pepper, cover and simmer for 10 minutes until sausages are cooked through and beans are soft.
