I am an American of British descent. I grew up eating all things British as my Dad was pretty good cook. But he never made this. As I go back to my heritage, I have made this now about 4 times. Excellent. I am fortunate to get fresh beef and kidney. And I always make this pie from the first of the animal that I get. Thank you. I use Guinness as we get here in the US-I don;t know how comparable it is to that in UK. Otherwise, followed it pretty close using one beef kidney which was about 8 ounces.
