About this recipe:
This favourite Vietnamese dipping sauce goes well with so many things. It doesn't keep well, so make it fresh.
2-3 tablespoons fish sauce
juice of 1 lime (about 3 tablespoons)
1-2 tablespoons water
2-3 tablespoons caster sugar
1-2 red chillies, finely sliced (optional)
1 garlic clove, finely sliced (optional)
- Mix all the ingredients well. The sauce should taste balanced, not too sweet, sour or salty.
