Beef or Chicken Marinade

About this recipe: This marinade can be used with any type of beef or chicken. If you want it spicy, mix in crushed chillies.

Serves: 12 

  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 175ml (6 fl oz) olive oil
  • 2 spring onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

  1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Place desired meat in marinade. Marinate in the refrigerator at least 4 hours before barbecuing or grilling.

Used different ingredients. I used this on pork chops. It was so good. The marinade is slightly sweet and really has a good flavour. I didn't have any spring onions, so I used just sliced regular onions. - 15 Sep 2008
