A nice bevvie for when the girls get together.
I found a good sangria recipe and headed to the off license to purchase the alcohol. In the queue, ahead of me, was a man who said he has been a bartender for 20 years now, and that my recipe needed a few touch-ups if I wanted to make it like the Pros. So, here is what he professed to me, muchos thanks to the other submitters for their delicious versions.
This is an authentic version of the popular sangria. You can add any fruit that you want, but I find that apples and pears absorb all the rum. I have much success with Burgundy wine and white rum, though spiced rum is nice too.
A refreshing drink that is typically drunk at bull fights in some parts of Spain. It's perfect for summer parties. You don't have to use the same fruit each time. Oranges and strawberries work well too.
I live in Barcelona and was able to watch a bartender make sangria in a sangria bar one night. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!
A very typical spanish sangria, with a twist at the end.. I make this for parties and bbqs, I always make a 5 litre bucket it's cheap and very cheerful, always a hit!! It has vodka but the sangria is so fruity that it won't be noticed.
A tasty twist on the typical Spanish red sangria. Your summer isn't complete without this!
Love sangria but don't want the booze? Zesty orange slices and apple wedges float invitingly in this beautiful drink that is great to have on offer at a party any time of year. You can double the recipe and serve as a punch, too.
I often make some sangria when I have friends coming over. It is not too expensive and everyone loves it. With a combination of apple, banana, kiwi fruit and lemon, as well as peppercorns, nutmeg, vanilla and cinnamon - it is a flavourful, incomparable sangria!
A closely guarded recipe no longer. This is the best you'll find and I could not keep it to myself anymore. I am hoping my stay in Purgatory will be reduced as a result. Probably the best party drink. Make it in a bucket (or jug if you're posh) and let your guests help themselves. Sweet and delicious it will soon disappear. Easily doubled, trebled or quadrupled!
If you haven't got these ingredients, by all means experiment.
This cooling summer drink could not be easier. Just stir and serve! Recipe kindly provided by Judy.
This is sangria, Spanish style! Fruit, red wine and brandy combine for a refreshing beverage on a sunny day.
