Anyone who truly loves you will love you with garlic breath, too! Chicken is pan seared and then finishes cooking on a bed of garlic cloves. Toss with tagliatelle and herbed tomatoes and onions. Use any cut of chicken you like with this recipe - two pieces per person.

This dish melts in your mouth. The credit goes to my future mother-in-law. Not only does it taste gorgeous, but halibut is a sustainably sourced fish. Each halibut fillet should be approximately an inch thick. Substitute crème fraîche for the double cream for a lighter dish.

Succulent swordfish is baked in a simple, delicate Caribbean-inspired chutney marinade. An innovative way to use a store-cupboard staple.

Be careful when making this dish. Like a magic love potion, it brings out the lover in anyone. I learned very quickly not to prepare this for a mere 'casual date' - unless you want that date to become something more!

Asian inspired flavours with a French technique give this dish it's own uniqueness. It's easy to make as well!

Beef Wellington should always be served with the centre slightly pink. Enjoy!

An easy, make-ahead, delicious way to serve fillet. A nice twist on the standard beef Wellington - without the traditional pâté de foie gras. You'll want flavourful mushrooms like criminis, portobellos or even porcinis or morels. For the wine, choose something rich you would actually drink - a good Shiraz is fantastic.

Chicken breasts are stewed in a white wine and a simple but delicious stock. In French cooking, mirepoix is the traditional base of diced carrots, onion and celery sautéed in butter that is used to flavour a great many stews, soups and sauces.

Prawns cooked in butter, garlic, lemon juice and parsley are even better with the help of Dijon mustard. Serve with fresh crusty bread.

This classic cut of steak, also known as fillet mignon and fillet steak, is a thick cut from the tenderloin. It's best cooked simply to preserve it's rich flavour.

This is my version of a classic French recipe that I have adapted for quick and easy preparation. You may wish to adjust the quantity of tarragon to taste.

It doesn't get much more luxurious than this recipe. Sure to impress that special someone in your life! Fillet steak is simply cooked, then topped with a luscious prawn wine and cream sauce. Fantastically simple to make, yet very elegant.

Slowly roasted in their skins, shallots and garlic have a mellow sweetness that marries beautifully with juicy chargrilled fillet steak. Try serving with new potatoes roasted in their skins and sprinkled with chopped fresh thyme, and a green vegetable or salad.

The flaky filo pastry crust keeps the halibut moist and delicious. For a nicer presentation, cut halibut in half at an angle before placing on sauce.

Chicken breast stuffed with a delicious garlic butter, wrapped in puff pastry and served on top of a mouth watering creamy garlic sauce. Not suggested as a dinner for first dates!!

This is a quick and tasty way to make DELICIOUS grilled lobster tails...YUM! Keep an eye on them while they're in the oven so they don't burn.

This is a quick and easy seared halibut dish, with a buttery wine and caper sauce. It takes hardly any time at all to make, but it is sure to leave a lasting impression on last minute guests.

This recipe for lamb chops is a favourite in my house. Rosemary and thyme give it great flavour. If you double the recipe, remember that the sauce will take longer to reduce.

This is a rack of lamb dish with rosemary and mint demi-glace. Serve with oven roasted red potatoes and sauteed green beans amandine. Perfect for Valentine's Day! Buy a seven bone rack of lamb, and have the butcher trim the fat cap and in between the bones for you, and save these trimmings for roasting.
