Grated ginger adds a nice texture, as well as a gentle spicy flavour to tasty plum jam. I was amazed how easy and quick this jam is. Not much steam in the kitchen or washing up either.
This is a pretty and versatile cake. The plums and blueberries can be replaced with peaches. You can also omit the blueberries, which makes a delicious plum cake!
My take on the traditional dessert - it fills the house with a gorgeous aroma of plums, lemon and vanilla. Use ripe plums or damsons when they're in season from end August through October.
I usually use ripe peaches and lightly sugared berries, but any variation will work! Serve warm with ice cream, custard or whipped cream.
I love plum jam, and also use damsons for this plum jam recipe.

Simple to do, a quick tasty result! This plum tart is great with plums that are not ripe and apples that need to be used up. It looks great on the centre of the table. We were 4 but everybody took seconds!
Basically an almond sponge base, with a syrupy plum topping with orange zest and juice. If you have a few over-ripe plums, this is a great idea to use them up. This is is just so tasty and scrummy for a snack or after dinner. Enjoy on its own. Very easy to make, but will take up time getting your plum topping the right thickness.
This fruity upside down cake is a great dessert for the entire family!!! A great combination of blueberries and plums.
