This pie uses creme fraiche and cheese instead of a time consuming and tricky roux based sauce, making it so easy and quick to rustle up. It's also delicious!

Fish pie is usually popular with children, who may not otherwise be keen on fish. In this version, leek and watercress are added to boost the vitamin value, and sliced potato and cheese make an appealing topping. Try it with roasted tomatoes on the vine, cooked for about 15 minutes alongside the pie, or steamed broccoli.

This filling recipe is best enjoyed on a cold day. Great served with peas or broccoli and some crusty bread.

This is a fish pie recipe I found on another website but I changed so much of it, I decided to add my own recipe.

This more-ish fish crumble is comfort food at its best: smoked haddock and whiting in a smooth sauce, covered with a crisp herby topping. Serve with baked jacket potatoes, baby carrots and peas.

A delicious fish pie with haddock and smoked cod, that is covered with mashed potatoes instead of pastry.

This creamy fish pie tastes luxurious but is relatively low in fat. Pungent capers and gherkins have long been favourite flavourings in Britain and bring piquant contrast to the mild, comforting tastes and textures of fish, eggs and potato.

This fish pie recipe is a family favourite. It's great to warm you up on cold winter evenings, or in the summer served with a fresh green salad. You can use Cheddar or Red Leicester if you prefer. A plain béchamel sauce is also tasty, but do try adding just a little nutmeg.

This was created when I had bought fish and then discovered I had no flour in the house to make a white sauce for my intended fish pie dinner. What to do? A tin of Heinz Asparagus soup came to the rescue and apart from being much easier to assemble, the dish is quite delicious. I make it as a light main course, a starter and even little canapes, served in mini scallop shells.
